Wow! I have the biggest smile on my face because I’ve done two weeks. Yep, two whole weeks of out every day.

I think my attitude is changing a little.

I started out knowing I needed to do something and getting a little wrapped up in the self-imposed goals. I was also looking forward to the challenge, in a head down, come on, you can show the world that you can achieve things too, but last night I caught myself saying, in my head, where most of my conversations happen, that I need to run, just that, I need to run. Not just so that I could get home and colour in another segment on my fitness chart. I think the idea that this challenge could lead to long-term change is showing promise.

Running and step count are well in hand. This week I’ve taken control of the diet too, I’ve upped my water intake. I have a litre bottle which I’m now filling each day and making sure I drink at least that as well as all my other drinks throughout the day. I know I’m meant to drink two litres but one is better that none. There’s been more salad and veggies, the only carbs I’ve had in the evening have been some poppadoms on Sunday with a home-made curry which we server with cauliflower instead of rice, all in all I’m happy that it’s all going in the right direction.

Two weeks down, still standing, still walking, still running and still feeling positive.
