That was hard.
I knew I was tired when I woke up, so I decided to do my two miles straight after the school run this morning. Less chance of putting it off and it becoming this looming task that I had to do, I don’t want running to turn into something I dread doing.
My plan was, get ready to run, kit on, just take keys and phone. Walk my little one from the car around to the school playground, and as soon as she’s waved her last wave and headed into school, run. Don’t stop and think, don’t head back to the car, just start running.
It worked. Though I soon had to slow down a bit and the first mile went on forever. I even checked my tracker was turned on, as I hadn’t heard the mile and pace being shouted at me and felt sure I must have covered that distance and then some, but no, only point eight on a mile. So, one foot in front of the other, on I went, and here I am now, two miles done for the day and back for breakfast before nine thirty. Feeling good about it again, but boy are my legs tired .
Stay positive.
