As we’ve established, I’m over weight. I weighed fourteen stone and a quarter of a pound, to be precise, on Wednesday the 3rd of May when I decided to really do something.

The first step was to stand on those scales and find out the damage and mentally commit to reforming my diet. The second step was to take these photos and properly confront ALL of me. The third step was to formulate a plan, so, here it is, my cunning plan.

To run at least two miles a day.

To complete a minimum of 8,000 steps a day which can include my run.

To take my diet in hand, cutting out carbs in the evening.

I’ve managed one week of running every day and my step count has exceeded 8,000 steps each day as well.

The control of the diet, not so much (confession, I had a Mc Donald’s wrap and an apple pie on Sunday and I had a fishcake and chips on Monday, child’s portion but still not good). Anyway, back to the positives, I’m still standing, still walking, hell I’m still running and looking forward to continuing this challenge.

One week down, lets see how far I can go.
